Spring is slowly finding its way back to Nantucket. The days are stretching a little longer, the island is beginning to wake up again, and we’re getting ready for the season ahead.
This month we’re sharing one of our favorite kitchen staples, counting down the days until Lemon Press reopens, and introducing a few special menus for Daffodil Weekend.
From the Kitchen: Our Harissa Vinaigrette
Some recipes become staples almost by accident. Our Harissa Vinaigrette is one of those.
What began as a simple dressing quickly became something we wanted to put on just about everything. It’s bold and bright with a little heat, balanced by honey and lemon. It somehow works across the entire day, drizzled over soft eggs in the morning, tossed with greens at lunch, or spooned over warm rice bowls and roasted vegetables for dinner. It even makes a beautiful marinade for meats.
At Lemon Press, you’ll find it on our Harissa Avocado Bowl, though you may start seeing it appear in a few seasonal specials this spring.
We’re sharing the recipe below so you can make it at home. Start with a salad… and then try it on everything else.
